July 20, 2015 | SIS Holds Free Clinic in Warren, OH
Stay in Softball held a free clinic for girls age 8-12 on July 20th at Candlelite Knolls in Warren. We had over 80 girls come out to learn fundamentals from a great group of travel coaches. The coaches held sessions on fielding (infield, outfield, throwing) hitting and base running. Parents were encouraged to watch and learn as well.
The clinic was a huge success. We have received many messages from parents commenting on how much their daughters (and they) learned and how much fun they had doing it. During the clinic, we put out some of the used equipment we have collected over the past season during our equipment drives as well as new facemasks that SIS has purchased. Any girl who did not have equipment could pick out equipment to use during the clinic and then was allowed to keep it. The looks on the girls faces when they were told they could keep the equipment was priceless. So thank you to those of you who have donated used equipment!
We want to recognize both the coaches and players who did such a great job helping at the clinic. They are: Matt Dohy (Silver Creek Starz); Rich Dudek (Ohio Wolfpack),Sarah Ingalls (Valley Extreme), Dave Kelm (Valley Extreme), Dan Lebeau (OhioWolfpack), Ronnie Titus (Valley Extreme), Dave Vukovich (Thunder Elite) and parent coaches and assistants: Steve Cassidy, Patrice Darlington, Nicky Hufford, Tim McKeogh and Rich Titus.
